Pt.1: Texturing with the Woodburner Expanded with Laurent Niclot – October 27th

Specific Details: In this demonstration, I will show you how to use the woodburner as a carving tool, using a sharp blade to create different textures, patterns and designs. We will talk about the material, the wood and the different tips and pens. I am going to carve a steampunk design to show you the 3 main techniques that combined create the illusion of a different material. Then I will show you different textures, including but not limited to interlacing, stone wall, hammered metal, burned earth… and finally, I will show you how to make your own tips and sharpen them.

Topic: Texturing with the Woodburner Expanded with Laurent Niclot

Date: October 27th, 9-11 am MDT

Note: If you are also interested in the coloring aspect of this work, Laurent will be doing a second demo covering dry brushing, guilding wax and other coloring techniques. Register for that demo here

Did you attend Laurent’s previous demo on Texturing with the Woodburner? This demo will go further in depth, and Laurent will show many different textures. Instead of cramming all of the information into one demo, the coloring (dry brush, guilding wax, etc. will be expanded upon further in his upcoming Coloring and Illusion demo).

We hope you can join us. Submit registration by adding this to your cart, and checking out and placing order. You will then receive an email with an information sheet that will provide all the details.

We look forward to seeing you!
