Description: Live from Trent’s studio in Colorado. Interested in turning miniature hollow forms? In this demo Laurent Niclot of France will use his signature mini hollowers to demonstrate 2-3 small hollow forms in various shapes. Great for both those who are looking to start hollowing and those who are seasoned hollowers but want to go smaller.

Description: In this two-part demo Trent will go through the process of turning one of his multi-axis hollow forms. Hollowing through three different openings to create a form unlike any other. After the multi-axis turning he will then take that form and extensively carve it to enhance the illusion. The final step will be to add surface treatment. In Part 1: we will do the turning and hollowing, and in Part 2: we will proceed with carving, and surface treatment. This demo includes advanced multi-axis techniques, as well as foundational techniques for turning and carving. All levels welcome.
Although some events have moved back to in-person we wanted to bring you a few demos in the Spring of 2022. Trent’s tool business keeps us busy, so we do not plan on having demos on a consistent recurring basis, but we are excited to bring you a few demos this spring and Trent’s daughter Kailee will be making her Virtual Woodturning Demos debut demonstrating her highly sought after paper turning.
